Gabriel Corbett, a sommelier and hospitality expert hailing from Oregon and most recently North Carolina, embodies a profound passion for wine and a steadfast commitment to guest-centric service. Following his academic pursuits in Political Science at Elon University, Gabriel's career trajectory took an unexpected turn towards the culinary world during his senior year, igniting an enduring fervor for the industry. Under the guidance of restaurateur Nino Giaimo, Gabriel honed his skills over two and a half pivotal years before relocating to Washington, D.C. in 2019 to contribute his expertise to Pineapple and Pearls, subsequently transitioning to Jônt. A Certified Sommelier, and currently pursuing his WSET Diploma, with extensive visits to Champagne, Gabriel's unwavering dedication to his favorite libation underscores his professional ethos. His dining philosophy is elegantly straightforward - when the team exudes enjoyment, guests inevitably absorb this positive energy. Beyond the realm of terroir discussions and champagne pourings, Gabriel finds solace on the golf course, relishing moments of well-deserved respite.
